Youth Ministry

SHYFT meets most Friday nights during school term from 7-9:30 for some crazy games, lots of laughter, amazing worship times, challenging messages and awesome outreaches. Each week we see over 70 high schoolers turn up on a Friday night pumped and ready to engage in the planned activities. The events range from bowling, ice-skating, theme nights and massive games to a ‘life group’ night which involves splitting up into smaller groups and delving deeper into some of the key issues facing teens today.

We are involved in our local high schools running a lunch time programs in local High School. This enables us to connect with kids that would otherwise never have a chance to hear about Jesus or get involved in a youth group.

God has blessed SHYFT with incredible, committed leaders and high schoolers and just recently we have started a SHYFT band to lead our worship nights.

All of our leaders all have up to date blue cards and police checks, training for child safe and regular leadership training.

SHYFT provides a fun, comfortable safe and open environment in which kids can have the freedom to ask any questions or discuss any topics. Our prayer for Shyft is to SHYFT their passions from going after the world to going after God and  that God will come and radically change our high schoolers lives so that they live a passionate life dedicated to Jesus Christ and change their worlds they live in.
