Horizons

Horizons is the name given to the missionary arm of Victoria Point Baptist Church.  The primary role of Horizons is to enable our church community to participate in fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18 – 20 in our local community, in our nation and throughout the world.

This is done by

• Managing the financial  support given by the church to at least 10 missionary units (including local Christian workers)
• Raising  awareness of missions through regular missionary spots in the service and  maintaining a display board in the church foyer with current newsletters from the missionaries our church supports financially
• Encouraging each Life Group to “adopt a missionary” so that we can support our missionaries in more personal ways through prayer, gifts, birthday cards etc
• Providing  a pathway for those who sense God’s call to mission,  to explore this further
• Working closely with the church leadership on all matters regarding the mission ministry of the church
