For the First Time

Attending a church for the first time, it is easy to feel a little uncertain, and quite out of place. We hope we can make you a little bit familiar with who we are and what to expect when you join us at one of our services.
When we gather we like to sing songs together to celebrate the freedom and joy we have found in our relationship with Jesus. We have time of giving, where we join together to contribute to the sustainability and growth of our church community and mission work. Each week one of our pastors will talk through a particular passage of the bible, trusting that through this God is able and willing to speak to us both personally and practically about our day to day lives. On the first Sunday of the month we share in special time of communion where we reflect on the foundation of our faith; the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Whilst all this is happening, we also run a children’s program with facilities for babies right through to young teenagers. The goal of our children’s ministry is to create an environment of fun and learning, so our kids can learn what it means to be a part of God’s plan. All of our leaders, are trained and equipped to meet acceptable safety standards.
After our morning service, we get together for coffee, some snacks and a chat, and after the evening service we gather together for great value meals at our evening cafe. We would love it if you would plan to stick around afterwards and spend some time getting to know us.

What we Believe

  • There is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He created and sustains the universe and gave us life.
  • Jesus Christ is God in human form. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of the world, rose bodily from the grave, entered heaved and one day will return to this earth.
  • The Holy Spirit lives in every believer and is at work in the world today.
  • Satan is a spiritual being opposed to God, but ultimately subject to God’s purposes.
  • People are made in the image of God and are the supreme focus of His creative work but because of sin are hopelessly lost, separated from God and destined for hell but…
  • Salvation is God’s free gift through repentance from sin and belief in Jesus’ death and resurrection giving eternal life.
  • The Church is the body of Christ. The local Church is to grow Christians and be a center for service and witness.
  • Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the only two observances given by Jesus Christ through Scripture to be celebrated by the Church.
